Billy Sharp is one hell of a person to be able to come out and play football just 3 days after his 2 your old son died.I can't imagine what he must be going through and my thoughts are with him and his wife Jade.
Doncaster Rovers lined up against Middlesborough for this match and before kick off it was revealed that there will be a minutes applause in memory of Luey Sharp , before the minutes applause took place a message from Billy was read out of the loudspeaker :the message read:
'This is a minute's applause to celebrate the short life of Billy and Jade's son Luey Jacob Sharp.Born 27th October, taken by the angels on the 29th. Sleep tight son.'
And it was only fitting that 14 minutes into the game that Billy scored a spectacular goal , after he scored he lifted his t-shirt to reveal a message 'That's for you, son.'
And credit where credits due to the referee ~(Darren Deadman),who by law should have booked the player for revealing his shirt after the celebration but on this 'special' occasion he decided to let it go unpunished.
Doncaster were to go on and lose the game 3-1 but that I feel is irrelevant , Middlesborough manager Tony Mowbray said after the game 'For him to score a wonder-goal, your headlines should be there really - a goal from heaven.'
